If you’re looking for that 'top of the world' feeling without having to drive an hour into the sticks to get it, Copper Ridge is usually the first place I take my clients. Sitting on one of the highest points in Comal County, this neighborhood is all about the views. It’s one of the only truly 24-hour guarded and gated communities in the New Braunfels area, which gives it a level of privacy and security that’s hard to find elsewhere. When you drive through the gates, you’ll notice the vibe is 'Texas Elegant'—you’ve got these massive custom and semi-custom homes, mostly stone and stucco with those big Hill Country porches, sitting on half-acre lots that give you breathing room without making you a slave to your yard work. Who lives here? It’s a mix of professionals who commute into San Antonio and families who want their kids in the Comal ISD system. It’s a social neighborhood, too. On any given weekend, you’ll see neighbors gathered at the pavilion around the big outdoor fireplace or kids taking over the resort-style pool. You’re only about 15 to 20 minutes from the historic charm of Gruene or the shops at Town Center, but because you're tucked away off Highway 46, you escape the tourist traffic that hits New Braunfels in the summer. It’s a solid 40-minute run to downtown San Antonio, but trust me, when you’re sitting on your back deck watching the sunset over the ridge with a glass of Texas Hill Country wine, that commute feels a world away. Copper Ridge is a premier 24-hour gated and guarded community in New Braunfels that has been developing since 2012. The community offers resort-style amenities that rival much larger master-planned developments.

Amenities include a resort-style pool with both lap and play pool, covered pavilion with fireplace, barbecue and picnic tables, tennis and basketball courts, and well-maintained common areas throughout. The gated and guarded entrance provides 24-hour security.

Homes in Copper Ridge range from approximately 2,737 to 5,132 square feet, all custom or semi-custom builds. The community has covenants, conditions, and restrictions (CCRs) available for review, including the original documents and several amendments.

As a gated community, residents should expect higher HOA dues compared to non-gated neighborhoods. A substantial portion of HOA funds goes toward a "road reserve" to ensure streets can be repaved without levying special assessments. Prospective buyers should also note the Capital Improvement Fee (transfer fee) paid at closing.

The community is managed by The Neighborhood Company (neighborhoodco.com). Comal ISD serves the area, and the central New Braunfels location puts I-35, downtown, Gruene, and San Antonio all within easy reach.
